Hasbury Rememberance Service

Hasbury Rememberance Service

May I congratulate Hasbury Primary School, Halesowen, on their Remembrance Day Service at St Margaret’s Church on November 11.

I have been to over 50 Remembrance Day Services in my life in various places, and I must say that I found this school service to be the most moving and sensitive one of them all.

War was not glorified but ex pupils from their school who were killed in the First World War were honored. The poetry, singing and presentations were delightful, and during the two minutes silence a pin dropping could have been heard.

A most beautiful, poignant Peace Banner has been produced by the pupils, and was presented on the day. Thank you to The Head Teacher, Staff, Pupils and Father Rob for a most moving and thought provoking act of remembrance and worship.

A grateful grandmother, Name and address supplied to the Halesowen News
